Citizen Defender

Class Duration: 16 – 60 minute classes (16 Weeks)
Class Level: Beginner to Advanced

Most critical incidents happen within clinching distance to 6 feet, and they happen suddenly, violently and with little to no warning. Designed with the Citizen Defender in mind, our comprehensive system of self-defense is geared toward integrating the hand-to-hand and the firearms defense skills necessary to avoid or stop the threat at these distances and beyond through the use of intensive and innovative training practices. Basics of Handgun – Simulator

Life First Group Presents the NRA Endorsed Pistol Marksmanship Simulator Training Course

This course is geared to the new shooters and intermediate shooters.

This course will teach you the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship. We will go over SAFETY, proper stance, grip, sight alignment/sight picture (aiming), trigger control, breath control and follow through.

There is NO live fire handguns or ammunition used for this class.  We will be using a state-of-the-art training pistol called a SIRT gun. SIRT stands for Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger. The SIRT gun design is based off the Glock 17.  It feels, weighs and acts like a real Glock 17, but utilizes a laser when the trigger is pressed. Law Enforcement Agencies and Military are currently using these as great training tools.

We will also be using a projector-based simulator range. This was formerly only used for Law Enforcement and Military training. This class will teach you all the necessary skills for the safe handling and firing of a live fire gun and get you prepared for a live fire class and/or a live fire range.

This class will be taught by Life First Group.  The instructors all have many years in the firearms industry with multiple certifications including being NRA Certified instructors, Red Cross first aid/CPR/AED and Basic Life Support instructors, etc. You will be in great hands!

What is provided:

Student Handbook and at the completion of the class students will be given an official NRA/Life First Group Certificate of completion.
